Privacy Policy

Information about Travel B’s collection and usage of your information.

Travel B (“Travel B,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates mytravelb.com (the “Site”), a travel advisory service that connects clients with independent Travel Advisors. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

1. Information We Collect
From all visitors

  • Usage data — pages viewed, browser type, device information, IP address, and referring URLs, collected automatically via standard web and analytics tools.
  • Cookies — small files used for site functionality (e.g., session handling) and, if enabled, analytics. See Section 6.

From clients who submit an inquiry or contact form

  • Name, email address, phone number, and any trip details or messages you provide.

From Travel Advisors who register or maintain a profile

  • Name, email, phone number, headshot/photo, business title or headline, bio, city/state/country, years of experience, specializations, and password (stored securely, never in plain text).
  • Advisor registrations are reviewed and approved by Travel B administrators before an account becomes active.

We do not knowingly collect payment card information through the Site; any booking or payment details are handled directly between clients and their Travel Advisor or the relevant travel supplier.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information collected to:

  • Create and manage Travel Advisor accounts and public profile pages
  • Respond to inquiries and connect clients with the appropriate advisor
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site
  • Send account-related notices (e.g., registration approval, password changes)
  • Maintain the security and integrity of advisor accounts
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

3. How We Share Information

Publicly, on advisor profile pages — an advisor’s name, headshot, headline, bio, location, specializations, and contact details are displayed publicly as part of the directory, since that is the purpose of a Travel Advisor profile.

Service providers — we use third-party vendors to operate the Site, including our hosting provider (Apex Media), form and workflow tools, and, where enabled, a content delivery network for video (e.g., Cloudflare Stream or Bunny CDN). These providers process data on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service.

Legal reasons — if required by law, to protect our rights, or to protect the safety of users or the public.

We do not share client inquiry details with any advisor other than the one the inquiry was directed to (or, where relevant, matched to).

4. Data Retention

  • Advisor profile data is retained for as long as the advisor account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for administrative and legal purposes.
  • Client inquiry data is retained only as long as needed to respond to the inquiry and for reasonable record-keeping.
  • Advisors may request correction or deletion of their profile data at any time (see Section 7).

5. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information, including password hashing, restricted admin access, and secure hosting. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Cookies

The Site uses cookies to:

  • Keep advisors and administrators logged in
  • Remember basic site preferences
  • (If enabled) measure aggregate site traffic and usage

You can disable cookies through your browser settings; some parts of the Site (such as advisor login and profile editing) may not function properly without them.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

Travel Advisors can update most profile information directly through the Edit Profile page. For any request not available there, or for deletion of an account, contact us using the details in Section 10.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have done so, we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

This document provides general essentials for a small business travel-advisory website and is not legal advice. Depending on your location and your advisors’ locations (e.g., California/CCPA, EU/UK-GDPR), you may have additional disclosure obligations — such as a “Do Not Sell/Share” mechanism, a designated Data Protection Officer, or specific legal bases for processing. Have this reviewed by an attorney before publishing, particularly once the site has meaningful traffic or advisors/clients outside the U.S.
