Hi! I am Karen Smith . . 

I first became interested in travel when I was about 7 and my dad came home from a business trip to Europe with a photograph of Hans Christian Anderson's Little Mermaid.  I told myself that one day I would go to Denmark and see that for myself!

We traveled around the United States a lot when I was growing up, usually on family camping trips. I have always dreamed of seeing many places around the country and the world and a past job as a flight attendant helped with some of that. In the past 20 years or so, I have been to Europe a few times and have loved every place I have been so far.

My favorite vacation is my spur-of-the-moment solo trip to Vancouver, British Columbia. It was very empowering to be able to visit a new location without a schedule or a map!
